14 Day Return Policy
Portero continuously strives to offer its customers the highest quality of service. We stand behind the authenticity and operability of each item we sell. However, if you are unhappy with your purchase, you may return it within 14 days, subject to the following conditions.
- Returned merchandise must include a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from Customer Care.
- Returns must be sent to Portero within 14 days from the date you received them.
- Your original Sales Invoice must be included in your return package.
- Merchandise must be unused and in the same condition as it was shipped. Merchandise that has been used, altered, or damaged will not be accepted.
- If merchandise was originally shipped with a security tag, the returned item must still have that tag attached, unaltered and intact. Do not remove the security tag until you are certain you will not be returning the item. If you attempt to remove the tag, it will void itself.
- A cash refund will be issued for 100% of the purchase price, less shipping and insurance costs incurred by Portero, if any (for example, as the result of a free shipping promotion). Refunds will not include any shipping or insurance costs you incur in receiving the item or in returning the item to us.
- On International orders, refunds also will not include any customs or import duties, brokerage fees, or taxes paid on shipments.
Exceptions:
1) 7 day return policy on all fur items in the fur category. Exchanges only. 2) The above return policy does not apply to the return of Hermès Handbags or any Exotic Handbags priced over $5,000.00. To return a Hermès Handbag or any Exotic Handbag priced over $5,000.00, please contact Customer Care within 5 days of receipt of the item to request an RMA. The item must be returned to Portero within 10 days of receipt.
All NEW Hermès Birkin's are considered Final Sale and not returnable unless the item description was materially inaccurate and has been confirmed by Portero.Portero reserves the right to block any user from the website who abuses the Return Policy and continually returns merchandise.
Return Instructions & Return Authorization:
Please email customercare@portero.com or call Portero Customer Care at 1.877.307.3767 to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number if you wish to return an item. Returns must be sent to Portero within 14 days from the date you received the item.
To return an Hermes Handbag, please contact Customer Care within 5 days of receipt of the item to request an RMA. The item must be returned within 10 days of receipt.
Once you receive an RMA number from Portero Customer Care, you must perform the following steps to receive proper credit for the return:
- Re-pack your merchandise in its original packaging and shipping box.
- Write the RMA number on the outside of the box.
- Insure your package for the full value of the merchandise and return it to us using the delivery service of your choice. We recommend shipping by a traceable carrier such as UPS.
- Mail your returned item to Portero, Inc., 28 Kaysal Court, Armonk, NY 10504.
- Check your email. We will notify you once your return has been processed.
If the item description on our web site was materially inaccurate, we will refund 100% of the purchase price in cash and also will refund any shipping charges (including insurance) you incurred. Please contact customer care for full details.
Receiving A Refund:
If you paid by credit card, refunds will be issued to the specific credit card account originally charged. If you paid by wire transfer, we can wire funds to you or send you a check. Every effort will be made to ensure a prompt refund. An email notification will be sent once the return has been processed.To redeem Portero credit as full or partial payment for an item, please contact Portero Customer Care prior to check-out at 1.877.307.3767.
Gift Returns and Exchanges:
If you wish to return a gift purchased for you at Portero.com, we will exchange it for another item or provide you with a store credit valid for 90 days from the date of original purchase. Otherwise, our general guidelines for returns will apply (including, for example, the requirement that the item has not been used and that the security tag remains intact). Please note that you are responsible for any shipping or other charges incurred in returning the item to us.Shipping Returned Merchandise:
We recommend shipping returned merchandise via UPS or insured parcel post for tracking purposes. Portero does not take any responsibility for reimbursement or compensation in the event that any returned packages are lost, stolen, or mishandled. We do not refund shipping or insurance costs, unless the item description on our web site was materially inaccurate.International Returns:

Portero is not responsible for items lost or damaged in shipping. However, all packages are insured; if your item is lost or damaged, please hold onto the item, with the original packaging, and call us immediately at 1.877.307.3767. We will contact UPS on your behalf and file an insurance claim. Once UPS has approved and paid the claim to Portero, we will forward the applicable amount to you (note: original insurance cost is not refundable).
