When you select "Buy Now" on any live auction, you are stopping the auction early and are willing to pay a fixed price, at some premium to the current bid, in order to buy this item immediately.
Step 1: Starting a Buy Now purchase
- Sign In or Register.
- When you register and create a Portero account, your credit card is required in order to place bids on the site.
- This information is kept on file and used to authorize and ensure your correct identification. Auctions won, but not paid for, are subject to a $75 cancellation fee that will be automatically billed to this registered credit card.
- Click “Buy Now” on the auction listing page for the item you wish to buy immediately.
- After agreeing to the Buy Now price, click the open checkbox confirming your commitment to end the auction and pay for the item.
- Click “Confirm” to end the auction.
Step 2: Confirming your Buy Now item
- On the My Account page, your closed auction will be listed under “Auctions Won”. Refresh the page until a “Checkout” button appears next to the item.
- Click the “Checkout” button. Your item will be placed in your shopping bag to complete your transaction.
Step 3: Paying for your Buy Now item
- Complete the checkout process to pay for your item. You must pay within three (3) calendar days of notification.
- You can also call Customer Care and provide payment information by phone, if you prefer.
- Closed and cancelled auctions that are not paid for will be subject to a $75 cancellation fee. For more details on our Cancellation Policy, please click here for details.
